“TransCanada will match your gift dollar-for-dollar. Donate now to make double the impact”

Here’s what happens when you Give A Seat

1.  You give a family, child or senior whose life has been changed by Harvey a small intermission from their troubles.

2.  You support Houston’s Theater District, a community that was devastated by the flooding and still working towards recovery. At Theater District Houston, we believe in the healing power of the arts. That’s why we’ve partnered with Greater Houston Community Foundation to work with local nonprofits serving our fellow Houstonians affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Theater has the power uplift us while sweeping us away to another world for a few magical hours.  Six months after the flood, there are still so many struggling to return to a sense of normalcy. So donate now, and Give A Seat to a family, child, or senior who could use an intermission. Then give yourself a standing ovation.

Your entire donation will support the cost of a ticket to one of the seven resident performing arts organizations in Houston's Theater District.

All donations are tax deductible.

TransCanada has generously agreed match all donations to Give A Seat, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Houston's Theater District is an impressive cultural and entertainment center nestled in downtown Houston. The District features world-renowned resident companies performing all of the major performing arts disciplines - opera, ballet, music and theater - a distinction that only five American cities can claim. Together with many smaller organizations, the resident companies perform in five venues: Alley Theatre, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Jones Hall for the Performing Arts, Revention Music Center and Wortham Theater Center.
